Heart of the Hobby – Dallas Card Show
The Dallas Card Show never disappoints, and this weekend was no exception. With VIP badge in hand, I dove into the event with one mission: submit top-tier cards to PSA and hunt for raw gold hiding in plain sight.
Finding Raw Gold in the Wild
There’s something exhilarating about flipping through unprotected, unsorted card lots and pulling out hidden gems. I struck gold more than once, finding high-potential rookies, vintage stars, and even some error cards that had somehow flown under the radar.
Organized chaos was the name of the game — boxes by team, discounted bins by player, and dealer showcases lined with opportunities. Every case offered new potential, and those with patience and a good eye were rewarded handsomely.
Meeting “The Texas Snow”
Another unforgettable moment was meeting Jeremy Donson — better known around the hobby as “The Texas Snow.” Jeremy’s knowledge, kindness, and presence on the show floor are legendary. We talked about card values, grading trends, and the future of the hobby. His passion is contagious and his advice. Priceless. Jeremy is President of “Collector Investor Auctions” A company that is well known throughout the hobbyist community. His honesty and integrity are unmatched and his knowledge about card collection is endless, it truly was a pleasure meeting him and I’m looking forward to collaborating on projects with him in the future!!

Between grading insights, raw treasure finds, and connecting with true legends in the community, this weekend was a powerful reminder of why this hobby means so much. For me representing T&E Collectors Cove, it was more than just a buying and grading trip — it was a moment of growth and alignment with the core of our brand.
